Meet The Team..
Have you ever felt like getting out of dodge and exploring the world? Well, guess what? Our dream became a reality last year when I retired after 30 years in business and education. We left the Los Angles suburbs, sold our house, and donated nearly everything we owned. Now my husband Dan, our dog Dexter, and I are on a lifelong dream of traveling. We eat at unique restaurants, explore cultures, enjoy music and the arts, and spend more time with our loved ones. Some call us nomads, I think we are smart planners! We housesit in some of the most beautiful locations in the United States and hope to travel and explore more.
I strongly support local artists, entrepreneurs, and small businesses because I was once an entrepreneur. I have both a Bachelors's and Masters's Degree in Business and have also been a business educator for over 20 years. Currently, I am an Educator Advisory Board Member for the Wharton Global Youth Program, Wharton School of Business, Pennsylvania.
Food is also my passion since I was a small child. My grandfather in Norway was a Baker, along with my Uncle and Cousin. My parents and a close friend, Marcia, were great role models as I grew up. I learned the concept of farm-to-table before it was even a term. I have won a few baking and cooking contests and have also owned a small Bakery and Catering Company.
My website blog stories are a reflection of my passions and our travels. I hope you enjoy it! I want to thank my husband Dan, my son Thomas and his girlfriend Dani, my daughter Ingrid and her husband Stevie, my father Kaare, and Dexter for helping with content, suggestions, modeling, and encouragement.
Please feel free to send me ideas of your favorite places to explore, eat, and shop local. Thank you for stopping by, Linda
