We all see the working mules in the summer on trails, packing gear, or helping in their many different roles. But what do they do during the winter when they are not working? Well, I think I have spotted a few in Gardnerville, Nevada taking a deserving break. They appeared so happy, content, and friendly. There were even a few horses amongst the resting herd. I am so sad I didn't have any treats for them. Of course, the owners may not be too pleased with me if I fed them... but I secretly promised I would return with a few carrots. They are truly beautiful!
